10月25日(木)に、国際交流の一環として、ICT特別専攻学生(1年生と2年生)とPENS学生の協調学習セミナーを行いました。セミナーはICT1年生と2年生で別々に行い、それぞれの学習内容は下記のようになります。
(1)2年生向けの内容: "ブレインストーミングで人工知能を用いたアプリケーション考案してみよう"
(2)1年生向けの内容: "Arduinoを体験して学ぼう"
On Oct 25 (Thr), we had seminars of collaborative work for the international exchange between students from KAIT ICT-specialized course (KAIT honors program) and students from PENS. Two seminars were conducted separately for 1st-year KAIT students and 2nd-year KAIT students, and each seminar had different topics as follows:
(1)Topic for 2nd-year students: "Brainstorming for applications of Artificial Intelligence"
(2)Topic for 1st-year students: "Experiencing and Learning Arduino"

(1) Brainstorming for Applications of Artificial Intelligence
ICT2年生3名、PENS生4名、宮崎先生、鷹野研の院生1名、私で実施ました。一番の目的は、セミナーでの交流を通じて仲良くなることです!
Three 2nd-year students from ICT-specialized course, four PENS students, one master course students from Takano laboratory, and Professor Miyzaki joined this seminar. The main purpose of this seminar is to be friends each other through the session!

まず始めにイラストを使って自分のアイディアを説明する手法や、ブレインストーミングというグループで有用なアイディアを導出する手法の説明をしました。また、ディープラーニングというAI技術の紹介もしました。
First, we studied two communication methods for introducing idea using "visual information" and deriving promising idea by group discussion called "brainstorming". After that, they learned about overview of "deep learning" that is one of modern technologies of artificial intelligence.
セッションでは、(A)自己紹介から始まり、さらにグループで、(B)AIとは何か、(C)コンピュータの認識力が人間に近づいた場合に実現できるサービスは何か、についてブレインストーミングしてもらい、イラストで説明するという実習を行いました。
In the session, they started from (A) self introduction, and conducted brainstorming regarding (B) "what is AI?" and (C) "what information service can be realized, if recognition ability of computer software is close to human?", and explained their answers by illustration.

(2) Experiencing and Learning Arduino
こちらのセミナーでは、ICT1年生4名とPENS生4名に参加してもらいました。目的は、同様にセミナーでの交流を通じて仲良くなることです!Aruduinoという電子工作キットを用いて、電子工作プログラミングを体験してもらいました。
In the afternoon at the same day, four 1st-year students from ICT-specialized course and four PENS students joined this seminar. The purpose of this seminar is to deepen their friendship as well! In the seminar, students experienced electrical device programming by learning an electrical kit called 'Aruduino'.

In both seminars, students spontaneously deepened their friendships and could be friend each other! Thanks to student's positive attitude, we could spend really meaningful and fun time. If we have the next opportunity like this, I am happy to plan this kind of an international collaborative seminar.
