驚きました Surprising

　いよいよ本学もグローバル化が本格化しているようです。2年生の佐々木さんが英語でMai君に話しかけていました。英語は使っていく中で上達していくものだと思うのですが、なかなか現実はそうならないものです。その中で、その姿勢は立派です。
　　The waves of globalization have come to our university.  Sasaki-san, 2nd year of undergraduate spoke to Mai-kun by English.  I think that skills in English raise in the process of using it.  However, it is difficult to use English in actual life.   Her attitude to use English should be admired.

記念写真ということで。これも友好の証ですね。This is for their memories.  At the same time, this photo can be a proof of their friendship.

 

　二人とも勤勉な学生です。本能的に自分の仲間、と感じたのかも知れません。若い人たちに機会を与える、というのが我々の仕事のひとつであることは確かです。その意味で、このような小さな交流の機会を多くの学生に持ってもらいたいと思います。

   Both of them are quite diligent students.  Therefore, they might feel sympathy each other by instinct.  It is one of our missions to give students opportunities to have international relation.  In this sense, we want the students to have a chance of mutual understanding by these kinds of situation.
