Report on off-campus tour for Chula students

On June 21st, we went to the NTT Musashino R&D Center and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) as the first stage of an off-campus tour. I make a report with impressive photos.

There were 12 Chula students. The 23 members attended this tour including the KAIT students and faculty staffs. This is the photo of all members of the day. Since a photo of NTT research products is prohibited, there are no photos of that scenery. The questions were active and it took longer than planned, but that was good.

Lunchtime in together

After lunch, we visited "The NTT History Center of Technology”. Since NTT used to be a public corporation, NTT exhibits a lot of technological assets of the history of telecommunications in Japan. I think this is also part of the company's social contribution. By the way, they knew how to use dial phones.

The explanation person navigated and explained. Some places crowded because there were other visitors. So his assistance became a big help.

As long as Chula OG is a researcher and lecturer of our university, it is possible for Chula students to be able to participate in this training with confidence, and they realize that we do not notice.

This shot is for my memory. Only that I explained. It is on-board communication equipment for the communication satellite "Sakura".

They watched the movie that explains the history of communication in Japan including the social situation at that time. It shows us a lot of pictures of old age. They looked intriguingly. I felt nostalgic.

Shot in front of "The NTT History Center of Technology”

The next destination is the National Institute of Information and Communication Technology. Here are just 30 minutes by bus from NTT Research Center. An open house was being held on the day.

This is a signboard, it was in the entrance lobby if my memory is correct. Some people call “Enu Ai Sii Tii”, and the other call “Nikuto”, which is the correct one?

It is another memorial photo. Their constant bright smiles are attractive.

She was willing to accept a sudden request for English explanation. Great, it was wonderful English. Of course,  technology is also excellent.

There are many types of scents coming out. Their purpose seems to be to convey not only voice and image but also touch and flavor. I enjoyed the smell of fruits and desserts in another place in this house.

We returned to our university around 18:00. The highway is comfortable. Training in the laboratory is also important, but since they came to Japan, I think it is our mission to provide them to guidance to places where they cannot usually go. I think that it is also a valuable experience for our university students.
