チュラ研修生と一緒につくば市へ行きました The Tour of Tsukuba City with Chula. Internship Students

チュラロンコーンからの研修生Mai君の協力を受けて、大賀君が英文も書いてくれました。

　6月6日、チュラの学生と一緒に、つくば市にある産業技術総合研究所と宇宙研究開発機構に見学に行きました。

 On June 6, we visited the AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) and JAXA (Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency) with Chula. internship students.

　この日参加したのは、チュラ研修生が11人、本学学生14人と田中博先生、国際課マネージャーの方々です。去年よりも多い人数の参加になりました。

 Today, the members were 11 Chula, 14 KAIT students, Prof. Tanaka and office managers of the international department. There are more people participation in this tour than last year.

　午前中は産総研に行きました。

 We visited AIST in the morning.

　ここでは、本学学生とチュラ研修生が分かれて、案内役の方のお話を聞きながら科学の最先端を見て、体験しました。

 In the AIST, we listened to the explanation by the guide and saw advanced technologies and experienced it.

　下の写真はセラピーロボットのパロを抱く私の研究室のメンバーです。ご満悦ですね。

午後はJAXAに行きました。有名なロケットの前で集合写真を撮りました。私も初めて見たので感動です。

We visited JAXA in the afternoon. We took a group picture in front of famous rocket. It was very impressive and I have never seen it before.

　JAXAを見学する前に、JAXA敷地内にある社員食堂で昼食を取りました。その後、JAXAのPVを見ました。内容はJAXAの敷地面積や研究員の方の仕事風景などの紹介でした。

 Before visiting the JAXA, we had lunch at the company cafeteria. After that, we watched the introduction video of JAXA. The video explains about JAXA site area and researcher’s job in detail.

　その後、人工衛星「きぼう」の管制室と宇宙飛行士養成のための施設などを見学しました。管制室は撮影禁止だったのでお見せできないのが残念です。

 After that, we visited a control room of artificial satellite ”Kibou” and astronaut training facility. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take the control room some pictures because it was prohibited.

　無重力状態では頭に血が上ります。私の研究室に研修に来ているMai君と私が体験してきました。私は30秒ほどでギブアップしました。根性がない、とお叱りを受けてしまいそうです(^ ^ ;)。

 The blood will rise to the head in the zero gravity state. I and Mai, who is internship student in my laboratory, tried to experience this effect. I gave up in about 30 seconds. It can be said that I have no guts(^ ^ ;).

　ツアーの最後に、展示館を見学しました。実物大の人工衛星や1/20スケールの歴代ロケットの模型を見てきました。チュラ研修生はJAXA職員の方の説明を受けながら展示物を見学していました。実際に見てみると、いかに大きいかがよくわかります。

 Finally, we visited JAXA Exhibition hall. We saw the real size artificial satellite and the models of the successive rockets of 1/20 scale. Chula students were observing the exhibits while listening to the explanation by the JAXA staff. In fact, you can see how big the satellite is.

　16時過ぎにJAXAを出発して、学校着は18時くらいでした。さすがにみんなに疲れている様子でした。私も同じく(^ ^ ;)。今回の外部見学では日本が誇る最先端の技術を実際に見ることができ、とても意義のある見学になりました。

 The departure time from JAXA was just after 4PM. The arrival at KAIT was about 6PM. It seemed that everyone was tired. I felt so, too(^ ^ ;). In the outside tour this time, I could actually see the advanced technologies that Japan is proud of, which made it the very meaningful tour.

 

 [Mai] As a Thai student, this was a great tour that I can see real size satellite and even real ISS control room. We experienced the real things here. We touched real therapy robots and experience real space bearing. I won’t be experience any of this if it wasn’t for KAIT. There aren’t any big aerospace organizations like this in Thailand, you know? In this tour, we learn a lot. Thank you very much.
